Mr. Page’s Newsletter – 03/6/12
1. State Project packets were a great success! The students did a wonderful job on their presentations, and it appears that they worked very hard on their packets. I will have the packets and grades finished before the end of the grading period. Thanks for all your help and support over these last 5 weeks!
2. As you know, our field trip last Friday was cancelled due to the weather. The good news is we were able to reschedule the trip for this Friday, March 9. The permission slips are still good to go. If you want to change the lunch information, I will need a note saying so. If I don’t receive any notes from parents, I will assume the lunch information is the same. Students will also need to bring their own drinks. Chaperones are welcome to attend this trip but must provide their own transportation. Students will not be allowed to drive home with their parents unless they are checked out in the office prior to the trip. Students will be able to purchase souvenirs at Cook’s Museum but must keep up with their money and purchased items. It looks like there will be a chance of rain so students should dress appropriately. It’s a great trip and we are excited about going!
3. Students will be able to wear hats this Friday for Hat Day at a cost of 50 cents. The money will be given to the Relay for Life program.
4. Our student of the week is Payton Quick. Payton works hard, turns his work in on time, and is very smart. He gets along with all of his classmates and is a joy to have in the classroom. Congratulations, Payton!
